1. Be gentle with yourself.
You are doing the best you can.
2. Clean out your purse and/or wallet.
Get rid of any junk, wrappers, old receipts, business cards you don't need, etc. When your purse and wallet are organized, you feel so much better. No more frantic searching for what you're looking for.
3. Do 15 minutes of work on a task you've been avoiding.
Starting is the hardest part of any task. I remember being so resistant to certain course work that I said to myself, "If I pick up the textbook and just put it next to me, MAYBE I will somehow start reading." I'm convinced that if you can get yourself to just get started, you're 90% there.
4. Take a bath. Take a GOOD bath.
Light candles, play beautiful music, and add your favorite essential oil blend to the bath. I also like to add 1-2 cups of sea salt or epsom salts. This is also a great time to exfoliate with an essential oil salt glow or sugar scrub.
5. Buy yourself fresh flowers, a good magazine, or some dark chocolate covered almonds.
"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." Buddha
The Buddha was pretty wise!
6. Massage your feet with an essential oil blend before bed.
A foot massage stimulates your muscles, improves circulation, and is deeply relaxing. Put on a pair of socks when you're finished to seal in the moisture and prevent any slipping. This is a very soothing ritual, and you'll wake up with softer feet, too.
7. Write down 3 things you did well that day.
Our brains tend to focus on the negative, especially when it comes to ourselves. At the end of the day, write down 3 things you did well. Try doing this every night. It will actually re-wire your brain to acknowledge your successes, see the positive, and help you feel better about yourself.
